Slovenia and Belarus face off in UN Security Council election

Ljubljana, 6 June - The UN General Assembly will hold elections for five new non-permanent members of the UN Security Council in 2024 and 2025 on Tuesday, with Slovenia, along with Belarus, vying for a seat in the Eastern European group. Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon is optimistic about Slovenia's chances.
