Slovenia's tax wedge up to 43.3% in 2023, 7th biggest in OECD

Paris, 25 April - The tax wedge, an amount of taxes and social security contributions paid by employers and employees for a single worker earning the average pay, hit 43.3% in Slovenia in 2023, a rise of 0.43 points from 2022, shows the OECD's latest report on taxes paid from wages. Slovenia had the seventh highest tax wedge among 38 OECD member states.
