New train service to link Villa Opicina and Rijeka via Slovenia

Consumer confidence highest since February 2022

LJUBLJANA - Consumer confidence reached the highest level since February 2022 in April, climbing 3 points over March and 5 points compared to April 2023, the Statistics Office said. The index was also 7 points higher than last year's average, but it was nevertheless 3 points below the long-term average, a period between 2005 and 2023.

Toddler death case goes to trial

CELJE - The mother of a toddler who died after being left in a hot car in June 2023 in Sveti Lovrenc near Celje, refused to put in a plea at her arraignment hearing at the Celje District Court. This comes after her life partner, who has also been charged in the case, pleaded not guilty on 18 March. The trial is set to start in late May or June.
