UN Security Council membership vote
"Opportunity for Slovenia, test for the West": Slovenia made it to the UN Security Council once a quarter of a century ago. The country will have an opportunity to repeat that achievement in today's vote at the UN headquarters in New York. (front page, page 3)

Visit by South Korean delegation
"They see opportunity in second nuclear unit": Even though the government is yet to make a decision on the second unit at the Krško nuclear power plant, nuclear technology providers, including from the US and France, have been presenting themselves to the government for quite a while. The opportunity for cooperation in the field is also seen by South Korea, the paper writes about a visit led by senior lawmaker Chung Woo-taik. (front page, page 8)

"Bloody showdown in Ljubljana": Ljubljana was shaken by yet another shooting showdown on Monday afternoon. Delo's sources suggest money was the motive for the shooting, in which Rabella pawn shop partners were killed. The shooter committed suicide. (front page, page 10)

"Grah Whatmough avoided the meeting": The new RTV Slovenija governing council met for the maiden session just over a week after the Constitutional Court's decision. Acting director general Andrej Grah Whatmough failed to attend the meeting even though it was him who called it in a move criticised by the councillors. (front page, page 2)

National library extension
"Still looking for money for NUK II": The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation still does not know how it will finance the construction of an extension to the National and University Library (NUK) even though PM Robert Golob said in November the money would come from recovery plan loans. "Shot two men at bar terrace in broad daylight, fled and committed suicide": Dušan Vulić, a man well-known to the police, shot the owners of the Rabella pawn shop in a popular Fužine bar yesterday afternoon before driving off and committing suicide. (front page, page 10)
