"Last weeks for redeeming tourism vouchers": Holiday vouchers issued by the outgoing government to help the tourism sector storm the Covid crisis can be spent by the end of June. So far, users have redeemed upwards of EUR 400 million in total, and less than 25% of 2020 vouchers and nearly 30% of 2021 vouchers have not yet been used. (front page, page 10)

"School officials support efforts to come up with new white paper": School officials are mostly satisfied with the emerging coalition agreement, including changes to the national knowledge assessment, noting that the drawing up of a new white paper on education is key. (front page, page 3)

Arms deal
"Down-low prevention of armoured vehicles sale": The Janez Janša government has revoked the sale of M-80A armoured fighting vehicles on the quiet. Slovenia has been making failed attempts to sell the Yugoslavian-made decommissioned vehicles for years. After the latest attempt the government would now like to donate the vehicles to Ukraine. "New govt on 3 June, but with old-school ministries": The Democrats (SDS) have thwarted the incoming government's attempt to come up with a new breakdown of ministries by filing a referendum motion. The changes will be merely delayed to ensure that the new government is formed on 3 June as planned initially. (front page, page 3)

"Controversial past catching up with Bobnar": Tatjana Bobnar, the candidate for interior minister, is facing allegations that she allowed illegal pushbacks of migrants and hence human rights violations in her capacity as police commissioner in 2018-2020. Several courts in Slovenia, Austria and Italy have confirmed that the Slovenian police were part of this unlawful activity. (front page, page 2)

Housing
"First signs of housing price moderation in Ljubljana": Following a record year in the property market, Slovenia is nearing the culmination of the housing cycle when supply will exceed demand and residential property sales will be halted. (front page, pages 2, 3)

Salaries
"Inflation already significantly increasing pay in state-owned companies": In some state-owned companies, inflation is already leading to significant pay rises. The paper looks at which trade unions were most successful in collective bargaining agreement negotiations. (front page, pages 4, 5)
