New road traffic act
"Law in force, no signs yet on traffic lights": The new road traffic rules act allow turning right at a red light at crossroads affording good visibility. The new rule applies from today but signs have not been put up at any crossroads in the country yet. (front page, page 4)

Staffing at state-owned enterprises
"Staffing at Telekom": The management of Telekom Slovenije has recently replaced some chief-execs of the companies owned by the telecoms incumbent and division heads, which come at a time of major technological changes and ahead of major investment in the 5G network. (front page, page 9)

Basketball
"Dončić breaks record, confirming battle for the top": It was jubilant in Ljubljana yesterday even before the reception for Olympians in Congress Square as global basketball star Luka Dončić signed a EUR 176.71 million worth five-year contract extension with US billionaire Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, in the largest guaranteed rookie extension in NBA history. Border traffic jams

Complications associated with Covid
"15-year-old still taking heart medications": Slovenian doctors have had cases of young patients suffering from grave complications associated with Covid-19. A 15-year-old patient of paediatrician Denis Baš who was affected by the multisystem inflammatory syndrome after getting infected with coronavirus last autumn still needs to take medications for his heart. Carbon emissions
