"Government tempted by health billions": Amendments to the health care and insurance act that are being proposed by the Health Ministry would bring a major change to the management of the EUR 3.4 billion health purse. The draft bill proposes abolishing the 45-member assembly of the Health Insurance Fund (ZZZS) and replacing it with an 11-member council. (front page, page 3)

"Scheduled flights restored with Spain": An Iberia flight touched down at Ljubljana airport in the late afternoon on Monday, restoring scheduled flights between Madrid and Ljubljana. (front page)

"Good nerves heading to north ring-road": Reconstruction work under way at the north section of the Ljubljana ring road is causing bottlenecks, but the national motorway company is promising the work will be completed in the last week of August. (front page, page 10)

"Fotona up for sale again, being sold by Chinese": Four years after a majority stake in Fotona, the Ljubljana-based global medical laser production leader, was acquired by the Chinese fund Agic, the latter is moving out in what will be a third change of ownership since Fotona was privatised in 2014. The company has more than doubled revenue and increased profit ten-fold since then. (front page, page 5)

Recovery package
"What does EUR 400 million recovery package brings for businesses": The national recovery and resilience plan, which allows Slovenia to draw EUR 2.5 billion in grants and loans from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, envisages EUR 427 million to boost the economy's competitiveness.
