Demand for new workers strongest in manufacturing, retail

Ljubljana, 13 May - There were some 16,100 job vacancies available in Slovenia in the first quarter of the year, up around 3,500 from the last quarter of 2020. Employers were looking for new workers in 13 out of a total of 18 sectors monitored, but the strongest demand was in manufacturing and retail, the Statistics Office (SURS) said on Thursday.
