DELO

Ski flying
"Historic day for Slovenian Eagles": Japan's Ryoyu Kobayashi won the individual ski flying World Cup event in Planica in what was the first time that as many as ten Slovenian competitors made it to the final round. After a horrible fall, Norway's Andre Tande was airlifted to UKC Ljubljana. (front page, 19)

Government
"SDS views in the name of the government": The government's attitude towards EU institutions depends on the domestic agenda of the ruling SDS and its head, PM Janez Janša, who have trouble understanding the rule of law the European way. (front page, 2)

Construction
"Construction material costlier": Prices of certain building materials are rising due to higher prices of raw materials and supply disruptions, which is creating problems for some companies and investors. (front page, 10)

Vaccination queue-jumping
"Janša's lawyer Matoz gets priority jab": The Health Inspectorate has found that the Koper health centre enabled some to jump the Covid-19 vaccine line right at the start of the vaccine rollout, including friends of the centre's head such as Franci Matoz, PM Janez Janša's lawyer. (front page, 3)

Parliament
"Jurša, Hršak and Simonovič of DeSUS saved Simoniti": The ouster motion against Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti failed, however more MPs voted in favour than against. The outcome might herald the departure of three MPS of the SMC from the coalition. (front page, 4, 14)

Vaccination
"Who will be in a better position, who will wait for ages": The latest modifications to the vaccine strategy are somewhat good news for those aged above 60, but the changes do not resolve major problems looming over mass vaccination. (front page, 2)

Petrol supervisors
"SDS member resigns before an actual start": There seems to be no end in sight for replacements. Branko Bračko, a long-standing member of the SDS, has stepped down as energy group Petrol's supervisor before he even started his term. (front page, 5)

Pensioners
"110,000 pensioners get more": Starting in May, the lowest pensions will go up, whereas in June all pensioners will get an annual bonus. Some 110,000 pensioners will receive higher pensions, meaning an additional EUR 43 million will have to be secured per year. (front page, 3)

Ski flying
"The fall overshadows the event": Andre Tande of Norway, former world champion in ski flying, suffered a terrible fall during the trial round of the Planica individual World Cup event. His condition is reportedly stable. (front page, 21)

Restrictions
