Defence Minister Erjavec resigns after losing party presidency
Ljubljana, 18 January - Agriculture Minister Aleksandra Pivec surprisingly defeated Defence Minister Karl Erjavec for the presidency of the coalition Pensioners' Party (DeSUS). Erjavec announced he would resign as minister.
