Woman farmer of the year putting rural women in spotlight

Zagorje ob Savi, 17 October - Marking International Day of Rural Women, the Association of Country Women bestowed its award for the best woman farmer of the year on Wednesday. Women who manage or actively participate in running a farm account for 46% of all farmers, a figure higher than the EU average standing at 42%.
