Parliamentary committee backs sports holiday initiative
Ljubljana, 1 October - The parliamentary Education Committee endorsed on Tuesday an initiative to honour Slovenian achievements in a variety of sports, proposing to the government to declare a public holiday celebrating such accomplishments and the role they play in boosting national identity.
