Several scandal-tinged candidates secure run-offs

Ljubljana, 19 November - Several former political heavyweights managed to bounce back in Sunday's election despite their political career being proclaimed dead. The most striking examples are Franc Kangler in Maribor and Pavle Rupar in Tržič, who made it to the run-offs despite being forced to resign amid protests and serving prison time, respectively.
