Designed by the Slovenian agency Gigodesign, a limited series of Elan SLX skis will be available at the start of the upcoming season.

The company, which has been in foreign ownership since 2015, said the skis were a "tribute to the enviable success story that brought Maribor to the Champions League for the third time yesterday".

The Elan SLX model, based on an innovative Arrow technology, has won an ISPO Award at ISPO Munich, the world's largest international multi-segment exhibition for the sports industry.

The company said that the skis were "packed with energy" and as such the best companion for "short, explosive turns".

Slovenia's flagship company, Elan was acquired from state owners in 2015 by Wiltan Enterprises and Merrill Lynch International of the US.
