Committee disagrees with proposal for CETA referendum

Ljubljana, 2 November - The parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee rejected on Wednesday an opposition United Left (ZL) proposal for a consultative referendum on the CETA free trade agreement between the EU and Canada. Several members of the committee, whose vote is not binding for the National Assembly, argued the time was not right for a public vote.
