Stock Market Higher

Ljubljana, 26 June (STA) - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange saw some upbeat trading on Wednesday, especially with retailer Mercator, which led the SBI TOP blue chips index 0.84% to 613.57 points.

Mercator, which is being sold to Croatian rival Agrokor, added 3.98% to EUR 107 on deals worth EUR 150,000, insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav was up 2.92% to EUR 17.60, and energy company Petrol 0.96% to EUR 210.

Pharma company Krka, the most traded item with EUR 330,000 in deals, closed 0.42% higher at EUR 50.24.

Meanwhile, the NKBM bank plummeted 15.69% to EUR 0.48 on a minimal turnover, while Telekom Slovenije lost 15% to 104 on a turnover of EUR 120,000.

Brokers wrapped up deals worth a total of EUR 2.56m today.
