According to the justification of the decoration, Anderlic has significantly contributed to deepening good-neighbourly relations between Slovenia and Austria with his efforts both in economy and culture.
For instance, in 1990 he initiated the establishment of the Ljubljana branch of Austria's Volksbank, which he headed between 1990 and 1993.
Anderlic also participated in the establishment of the Slovenian subsidiary of Hypo Alpe Adria Bank in Ljubljana. He is currently the head of the KID holding.
