Danish Company Presents Industrial Robots in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, 8 August (STA) - Danish company Universal Robots presented on Wednesday two industrial robot with which it plans to make a move on the Slovenian market, aiming above all at SMEs which cannot invest into a fully automated production.

According to representative of the Universal Robots Svetlana Vinogradova, the UR5 and UR10 robots are easy to use and program, while they can be quickly incorporated into production.

While the prices of robots stand at EUR 22,000-25,000 for the smaller UR5 and around EUR 30,000 for the bigger robot, the investment can return in 2-12 months, according to the Danish enterprise.

Saša Sladič of Teximp, the distributor for Slovenia, said that Slovenian companies showed much interest in the two robots, while one is already operational in Slovenia.

Stationed in Odense, Universal Robots was established in 2005 in cooperation with the Danish public investment fund Syddansk Innovation. The company currently employs 40 people and sold 400 robots in 2011.
