The ceremony, which will be addressed by Defence Minister Aleš Hojs, will be held on the eve of the 21st anniversary of the helicopter's defection from the Yugoslav People's Army (JLA) to the predecessor of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
On 28 June 1991, pilot Jože Kalan and aviation technician Bogo Šuštar took the helicopter manufactured in Bosnia's Mostar in 1979 and flew it to Rogla (NE), where it was refitted with TO insignia, the museum said in a press release.
The reconnaissance and communications aircraft was used until 1994, when it crashed in the Kočevski rog (S) forest. It was restored after the crash and exhibited at the Ljubljana Airport and at the military airport Cerklje na Dolenjskem.
