BRUSSELS, Belgium - Culture Minister Majda Sirca will attend a session of the EU Council for Education and Culture. She is expected to call for zero VAT rate for books to encourage the Slovenian book market.
LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) will present its view on the 28 November worker demonstrations at 11:30 AM, outlining the reasons for which the trade unions' demand for higher wages is not feasible.

ANKARAN - Consortium veritatis awards for outstanding achievement in journalism will be given out by the Association of Slovenian Journalists (DNS) at 8 PM as part of Days of Journalists 2009 held between 25 and 28 Nov.
LENDAVA - President Danilo Tuerk will be the key-note speaker at a ceremony at 3:30 PM marking 50 years since Slovenian-Hungarian primary education was introduced.
NOVA GORICA - The municipality of Nova Gorica will pay tribute to Slovenia's pioneer aviator Edvard Rusjan, who 100 years ago performed his first flight in a home-made airplane. The ceremony will begin at 3:30 PM.
BITOLA, Macedonia - The opening of the exhibition of painter Marko Butina will accompany the launch of the new premises of the Slovenian Consulate in Bitola.
